Mineral Vs. Chemical Sunscreen

End Summer right and don’t neglect your sunscreen!

The Difference between Mineral or Chemical Sunscreen!

Mineral Sunscreens sit on top of the skin, creating a physical barrier between your skin and UV-rays.
Mineral sunscreens contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide and are immediately effective upon application, basically there is no waiting required to expose the skin to the sun.

Chemical Sunscreens use chemicals as their active agents and are absorbed by the skin and must be applied 30 minutes before sun exposure to be effective. Rather than blocking rays, chemical sunscreens act like a sponge to absorb harmful UVA/UVB rays.
